Characteristics:

3M™ Cavilon™ High Protection Barrier Film is a system of
unique polymers combined with a cyanoacrylate. After application on
skin, the liquid dries quickly forming a barrier film
Long-lasting impervious to liquids (up to 7 days).
The product is elastomeric, adheres to the contours of the lesion and forms a
uniform film. The film is transparent and has good permeability
to oxygen and water vapor.
The cyanoacrylate polymer is dispersed in a non-burning solvent.
The film is colorless, non-cytotoxic and does not cause dermatitis. Adheres to
dry, moist or wet skin surfaces (partial damage
or superficial skin thickness) and remains intact under conditions
continuous or repeated exposure to moisture or caustic irritants.
Does not require removal.
The product is radiolucent.

Intended use:

3M™ Cavilon™ High Protection Barrier Film is one solution
liquid that dries quickly, forming a barrier film
long-lasting waterproof suitable for covering and protecting the skin
intact or damaged.
It is effective in conditions where wet and/or dry skin is exposed
frequently or continuously to moisture and caustic irritants, such as feces,
digestive fluids, wound drainage and urine.
The protective barrier film reduces pain due to associated dermatitis
to incontinence (IAD) and avoids, stops and/or resolves the effects of such
dermatitis.
3M™ Cavilon™ High Protection Barrier Film can be
also used in areas exposed to friction and on injuries due to
bedding, clothing, shoes or any other material that
it could create friction on the skin, allowing it to heal.
